About Me

A Bit More About Me

I know I usually share bits of my story with you or share some helpful tips about writing that I find lying around. Those are still coming as usual, but I just wanted to take today’s post to tell you a bit more about me and my hobbies outside the writing world.

I don’t know if it’s obvious, but it’s probably not surprising: I love to read. I also love to watch movies and TV shows. I like stories and am fascinated by them. Right now I am reading my way through The Brothers Karamazov and re-watching either Gilmore Girls, Bones, or Timeless for probably the twentieth time. I’ve also watched Pride and Prejudice so many times I actually wore out the DVD. That’s my shining moment, I think.

Outside of stories, I also love to make stuff, but I’m sometimes not the best at it. I bake cakes and crochet blankets and draw art with my children. It’s quite possible my children are better at that last one than me, though, and they’re both under five years old. So that should give you a good hint about how skillful I am in the area of drawing!

So that’s a bit about me. In this current climate, I can often be found taking one kid or the other on a walk or playing in the sandbox in our backyard trying to stop someone from eating something. Kids are very fun, but they also eat everything. Apparently this is normal.

I hope you stick around for Tuesday when I’m going to share a couple of story openings with you and talk about what I learned about opening my own stories. Hint: I’m definitely still learning, but I don’t think I’ll ever stop.

Have a good one!

Elizabeth.
