In an ideal world, this post would have happened at the beginning of April, but better late than never! I wanted to take some time to talk a little bit about Camp NaNoWriMo.
If you have been here since the beginning, you might remember that it was last year’s NaNoWriMo that really got me into the idea of writing a novel at all and I ended up writing my first novel in roughly three weeks. I feel like I’ve learned so much since that experience that whole years must have passed, but apparently it’s only been four months!
The point of all that was to say that my success with NaNoWriMo the first time is part of what drove me to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo this month. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically the same except you get to set your own word count goals and you can focus on editing rather than drafting if you prefer. You can click the image for more information, if you are interested.

For me, I was finished up all of my Open Novella Contest entries and Slow Motion Whirlwind was completely posted, so I wanted to start something new to post starting at the end of April or beginning of May. I’m hoping to keep a constant flow of writing up on my profiles so I can keep sharing my work with people who enjoy it.
All of that said, I’m finally here to tell you all about the project I’ve been working on this month: my new novel in progress, A Royal Internship. I will start posting to Wattpad with a preview this week and will also share that preview here with you on Saturday. I will include some information, a cover, and a description for you, so stay tuned for more information, excerpts, and other fun stuff in the coming weeks.
Happy Reading,
Elizabeth.
